Hello everyone welcome back, we have about 300 words to go, so buckle up, recline your seat, and let’s get ready for take-off.
New York City, a place I dreamed about since I was a kid. Good food, even better shopping and a city full of dreams. One thing you should know about me for this ride is that I have a lot of dreams, hopes to work for Jimmy Fallon one day, or maybe to plan one of the Kardations million-dollar parties or even perhaps just getting invited to one of their million-dollar parties. First, I need to pass college algebra before I think that I’m leaving San Marcos, Texas. But dreams keep me going every day. And let me tell you New York City is a city that makes me realize one day, all my hopes and dreams could come true if I do pass college algebra.
I’ve had the privilege to travel to NYC three times, and each time I leave, I still haven’t seen half the things I’ve wanted to see. The first time I went, my dad took me for my sweet sixteen. I remember standing in the middle of time square with my 99 cent pizza in my hand I got from one of the many joes pizza stands thinking how could this be real. Lights everywhere, making midnight feel like two in the afternoon, noises you could hear from miles away and the diversity all around me. It’s a powerful place; people travel across the globe to be able to stand right in the middle of time square and feel the way I felt, and also getting asked by six different Elmo’s if you want a picture for twenty dollars.
Things to do while in New York City:
- Bus Tour!!! There are many hop-on hop-off bus companies in New York; we went with the one that our concierge recommended in the hotel we were staying in. The bus tour itself was alright; it wasn’t the cleanest, but don’t expect anything in New York to be clean. I would recommend buying it for one day and waking up early and making it an all-day event. Its the fastest way you can see the city and you don’t have to worry about using the subway system and getting lost. https://www.newyorkpass.com/new-york-attractions/big-bus-hop-on-hop-off-tours.html
- The empire state building!! It cost about $40 a person to go up, but once you’re up there, it’s worth the view.
- Central Park!! It’s a very peaceful place, grab a picnic basket, and have a nice lunch in the fresh air.
- Time Square!!
- One World Trade Center!! The 9/11 memorial and museum is beautiful, and it’s one place I’ve been to all three times I’ve been to NYC! It’s around twenty dollars.
- 99 cent pizza joints are the best midnight snack, and they’re on every corner.
- Ellens Stardust Diner!! Ellens isn’t just any diner, its full of waitresses standing on your table singing to you and confetti flying everywhere.
- Black Tap!! After eating their incredible milkshakes with a slice of cake on top, you may be in a delicious food coma after.
- Broadway!! Life-changing is all I have to say.

Before we land, I want to say thank you for getting this far in on my blog post. I love having the opportunity to talk about just a few things that make me love New York City. I hope one day you all can fall in love with the city that never sleeps because thinking of it makes me not want to sleep. Until our next ride, my friends.
